abstract

  • Breast cancer detection and management have undergone dramatic changes over the past three decades. Women are increasingly diagnosed with early stage disease, and leaving them with breast conserving options versus mastectomy. Furthermore, advances in the chemoprevention arena offer the promise of reduced overall breast cancer burden in the future.
