Overview
abstract
Total knee arthroplasty is one of the most popular and satisfying procedures in orthopaedic surgery. However, several perioperative and postoperative complications may follow total knee arthroplasty, leading to reconstruction failure. This article summarizes the issues of wound healing, infection, supracondylar fractures, thromboembolic disease, soft tissue balance, peroneal nerve palsy, and patellofemoral problems following primary total knee arthroplasty.
