abstract
A simplified technique is described for reconstruction of through-and-through full-thickness defects of the cheek following resection of cancer. The standard forehead flap is employed with an extended application, whereby it is folded over itself twice to provide both an inner and an outer lining. This alternative technique appears to be a reliable and quick way of obtaining both cover and lining for reconstruction of through-and-through defects of the cheek.
